Previous Apple CEO John Sculley of Obi Mobiles has been renamed as Obi Worldphone and
launched two innovative reasonably priced smartphone the SF1 and SJ1.5.

The Obi Worldphone SF1 will be offered in two variations a 2GB RAM and the 16GB storage and it will cost for $249. While the Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 be available at a suggested retail price of $129.

Each device will be available starting October in retail shops in some places and online. Company has reported that the handsets will be first available in Indonesia, Thailand, UAE, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Pakistan, turkey, Vietnam and India. Company has been set a target to make SF1  and SJ1.5 available in at least 70 countries by 2017.

Obi Worldphone SF1 comes with 4G LTE and supports FDD B3 1800MHz and TDD B40 2300Mhz bands which is pretty good compare to other cheap handsets. Also a unibody with steel features and hovering glass display. The smartphone has a 5inch JDI In-cell IPS full HD display with a 1080x1280 pixel offering a density of 443ppi. For the protection of screen is the  Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device runs with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop along with the Obi Lifespeed UI, and powered by a 64bit octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon clocked at 1.5GHz pair with Adreno 405 GPU. This Obi Worldphone SF1 assist with a expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD.

The handset sports a 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash, Sony Exmor IMX214 sensor and f2.0 aperture and 5MP for front facing camera also with LED flash. Other great feature of this handset is the dual mic for noise cancellation, Dolby Audio Surround 7.1 and a quick charge for fast charging.

The whole unit is powered by a 3000mAh battery featuring a accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. Measuring 146x74x8mm and weighing 147grams.

On other hand, the Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 supports 3G, a poly-carbonate body with curved touch display also with magnesium and titanium alloy frame. It features a 5inch HD display giving a 294 pixel density and protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Running with Android 5.1 Lollipop with Obi Lifespeed UI, the SJ1.5 is powered by a quad core MediaTek clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM. A 16GB internal storage that supports a expandable microsSD storage up to 32GB. Furthermore the 8MP auto-focus main camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash and  5MP front facing. This handset loads with a 3000mAh battery and it is dual SIM.

LG G Watch R with WiFi

LG has reported that they will begin rolling out the newest Android Wear update to their own smart watches above within the next few days. This update will be offered for the LG G watch, the LG G Watch R, LG Watch Urbane and the LG Watch R will be have WiFi connectivity.

We may start seeing this update over the next few days, it will be fun day for LG fans. 

In addition to G Watch R’s Wi-Fi capabilities, all three LG devices will now support interactive watch faces which owners can download from Google Play. Interactive watch faces allow users to tap on specific areas of the watch display in order to see additional related information.

The latest update will also allow LG’s Android Wear devices to support useful apps that perform specific functions, such as displaying a four-day weather forecast or performing translations in numerous foreign languages right on the watch itself. As there’s no need to pull out and turn on a phone, Android Wear apps deliver convenience and save time for active and busy users.
