Popular smartphone nowadays are indeed expensive, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Apple iPhone 6s cost $650 each. However, it is possible to have a good smartphone for less.
After the latest phone assessments, Consumer Reports discover some good choices they explain as more inexpensive. One is the iPhone SE that stars at $400
According to a Consumer Report Mike Gikas, “Four hundred dollars may sound like a lot for a cheap smartphone, but it’s the least expensive new iPhone you can buy."
iPhone SE seems like the older iPhone 5s but works more like the actual iPhone 6s. It has a touch ID, Apple Pay, Siri and good battery that work nine hours of talk time.
An additional suggestion is the LG Escape 2 for $180. This Android phone has a bit rounded display. The home and volume buttons found at the back of the device. Gikas mentioned, “The Escape has a lower resolution display than some pricier smartphones, and it’s only available on AT&T.”

If you want a bigger handset, look at Asus Zenfone 2 and the Blu Vivo 5, the two handsets have a 5.5-inch display and cost $200. Both are unlocked and battery life is good.
When it comes to cameras, each of these phones took decent photos, and both offer a dual SIM card slots.
